The Dark Side of Fake Consultancies & Residency Visas in Dubai: A Growing Concern

In recent years, a dangerous trend has emerged where a group of unauthorized individuals from countries like Bangladesh have turned visa fraud into a full-fledged business. They arrive in Dubai with little more than a notebook in hand and no official authority, yet pose as “consultants” and begin manipulating the system—for a price.

🏢 The Modus Operandi: From Typing Center to Fake Business Empire

These individuals open a general trading company with minimal paperwork, often through local typing centers. They then apply for a labour quota of 10 employees, and once approved, start selling residency visas at inflated rates ranging from AED 20,000 to AED 35,000 (approx. 5 to 8 lakh BDT).

But it doesn’t stop there.

They exploit the “Partner” or “Investor” visa route, selling these at even higher rates—while pretending the buyer is a stakeholder in the company. In reality, the “company” often doesn’t exist or operate at all. One such fake company can generate up to AED 1 million (BDT 2.5 crore) in profit before vanishing from Dubai entirely.

❗️No Background Checks, No Accountability

The biggest issue?
The authorities granting these visas do not always scrutinize the applicants’ educational qualifications or work experience. Many genuine, educated professionals get caught in this web and end up with blacklisted visas when the authorities later discover that the company was fake or non-operational.

This blacklist can last up to two years—and in that time, careers are lost, families suffer, and dreams are shattered.

⚠️ The Rise of Fake Certification

To make matters worse, many blue-collar workers—painters, drivers, plumbers—use forged experience certificates to obtain “Manager” or “Partner” visas. Once they enter Dubai, they return to their original line of work, bypassing legal channels and undercutting genuine professionals.

Ironically, going through the legal process would cost them half as much.

🛑 Dubai Has Had Enough: Crackdown Has Begun

Dubai authorities have finally started tightening the noose. New regulations are now being strictly enforced.
If someone is caught submitting fake documents or fraudulent certificates, they are not just fined—they face long-term imprisonment. In fact, in today’s legal environment, you may spend your life behind bars and still not be considered a legal resident.

🔍 The Real Cost of Cutting Corners

Many falls for the trap of “quick residency in 5 lakhs” advertised aggressively in South Asia. What they don’t realize is the hidden cost:

  • Lost credibility
  • Legal consequences
  • Career destruction
  • Emotional and financial ruin
